A Jefferson Parish-based commercial diving service provider is suing a Lafayette Parish company, alleging failure to pay for charter vessel services for at least six months.

Triton Diving Services filed a lawsuit Sept. 14 in U.S. District Court Eastern District of Louisiana against SeaOPS Marine Services, Avery Joseph Domanuge Jr. and Avery Jospeh Domanuge III, alleging breach of contract, failure to pay for charter services, and violating personal guaranties.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 24, 2014, Triton Diving and SeaOps entered into a bareboat charter agreement of 14 months at $20,000 per month with payments due on the 24th day of each succeeding month. The suit says SeaOPS is in default of its obligations under the bareboat charter, having failed to pay for the months of May through October.

Triton Diving Services seeks no less than $152,740.98 for the vessel charter, plus attorney fees and costs. It is represented by attorneys Franklin H. Jones III and Richard A. Cozad of McAlpine & Cozad in New Orleans.

U.S. District Court Eastern District of Louisiana case number 2:15-cv-04272.
