Renewable Energy Projects Improve Marine Organisms Living Conditions

A recent marine study has shown how renewable energy projects, such as wind farms, improve the living conditions of certain sea organisms.

The study, focused mainly on smaller organisms of Scottish and Irish marine life, tried to show what kind of impact the development of wave and tidal industry can have.

The research has shown that renewable energy infrastructures have a positive impact on smaller species, giving them an opportunity to settle in previously uncolonized areas.

The infrastructures could also be used as colonizing platforms off the Scottish coast for some Northern Irish species, which typically would not have a chance to populate these areas.

Nevertheless, it’s important to monitor the effects these infrastructures might have on other species in the future.
