Veolia delivers new 1,000 foot sat system to Dulam

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES — Veolia ES Industrial Services has recently delivered a design-built, 1,000-foot  (305-m) saturation dive system to Dulam Subsea Solutions of Dubai. Veolia designed and built the system at its in-house manufacturing facility in Neenah, Wisconsin over an 18-month period. It was delivered to the customer in early August.

Veolia’s engineering staff was responsible for all design services. The 1,000-foot (305-m) SAT system was designed to meet ABS and IMCA standards, with the latest technological advancements, including a hyperbaric rescue chamber.  A team of in-house welders, pipe fitters and other specialists then built the components and assembled the system at Veolia’s full-service manufacturing facility.

Prior to delivery, Veolia performed component testing, carried out wet testing and completed on-site testing with Dulam Subsea Solutions and ABS surveyors. Following these thorough tests, the system was prepared for transit to Dubai. The saturation diving system has a modular design and reduces to four major skids which can be shipped over road and via container ship.

This is the fourth SAT system designed and built by Veolia ES Industrial Services, and the company has two more projects underway.

Dulam Subsea Solutions provides subsea services to the oil and gas industry in the Middle East and Indian subcontinent. If you would like to republish this news item, please link back to  We’re talking to you, Naylor.
