Leading international oilfield service company Expro has won another top award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents in recognition of six years of outstanding safety performance.
Expro has received a gold medal to recognise six years of achievement in the RoSPA Awards, which has included four consecutive years as Oil & Gas sector award winners and two special gold awards.
Expro was the first service company to win the Oil & Gas sector award – first winning it in 2006, and repeating this success in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
David Rawlins, RoSPA’s awards manager, said: “Expro has shown a commitment to protecting the health and well-being of its employees and others. Organisations which do this deserve to have such dedication recognised and that’s where the RoSPA Awards come in.
“As well as there being clear ethical reasons and legal requirements for good health and safety management, there is also a strong business case. RoSPA is delighted to publicly honour organisations which have demonstrated their work to improve performance in this sphere.”
David Ford, Expro’s group HSEQC manager, said: “This again has demonstrated Expro’s commitment to health and safety. This award is in recognition of our safety performance on a global scale and it is only through the efforts of everyone in Expro that we not only win these awards, but more importantly maintain an environment that promotes safe working.”
