Divers search in the waterways of southwest continues in order to find out why two packages were hidden beneath the Leschennault Estuary close to Bunbury.

Initially the substance was thought to be drug but the test validated that one of the packages contained the highly volatile explosive, T-A-T-P.  A police officer was confirmed injured while performing a test on substance according to WA Police Commissioner Karl O’Callaghan.

Earlier this week, TATP explosive is known to be linked in terrorist attacks around the world.  Police who are working with the Federal authorities still unable to rule out the possibility of  delegates attending the Indian Ocean Rim Conference being the target because there is no credible intelligence of any planned attack.
