EMAS Offshore has appointed Adarash Kumar (“Capt. Kumar”) as the company’s new chief executive officer, effective September 25, 2015.
Jon Dunstan, the current CEO has resigned in order to pursue other interests outside of the company but will remain with the company to handover and assist Capt. Kumar until February 2016.
Kumar has stepped down from Ezra Holdings as an executive director of its board and his position as group chief operating officer, to fully concentrate on his new role with EMAS Offshore.
Lee Kian Soo, EMAS Offshore’s executive chairman, said: “I would like to thank Jon for his dedication and commitment in helming EMAS Offshore for the past year. He was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of EOC Limited in 2011, and was instrumental in overseeing its transformation into EMAS Offshore, which culminated in a dual-listing in the Singapore and Oslo stock exchanges in October 2014. He also oversaw the integration of London Marine Consultants into the EMAS group back in 2008. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
“With his vast number of years of experience in the offshore industry, Capt. Kumar is a strong business leader we are fortunate to have in today’s challenging oil and gas environment. He will be able to bring strategic insights to drive EMAS Offshore’s performance, maintain our leading position in Asia, and penetrate West Africa, which we have identified as a key market for us to grow in.”
Jon Dunstan said: “I have very much enjoyed my time within EMAS and wish Capt. Kumar and the team of EMAS Offshore Limited all success for the future.”
