Marine contractor Bisso Lufesa has performed a platform inspection for BPZ Energy off the coast of Northwest Peru.
The Bisso Lufesa crew spent about a month aboard the dive support vessel DSV Caballo de Trabajo inspecting the four-pile production platform in 208 feet (63.4 m) of water about five miles (8.04 km) off the coast.
Divers performing the Level II inspection checked for excessive marine growth, damaged welds, corroded structural members, decay, wall thickness, cathodic protection and other conditions affecting the production platform.
DSV Caballo de Trabajo was outfitted with two complete deep-air and mixed-gas diving systems. The vessel, which is four-point moored, also was outfitted with a 10-ton hydraulic crane and a 40,000 psi water blaster.
Bisso Lufesa was formed in 2008 by Bisso Marine and Lufesa Divers.
